Blue Laced Red Wyandottes

  

The Beauties of the poultry world !!! These birds have an amazing color color contrast of deep brick reds and blues that would leave you questioning if they were not actually related to much more exotic birds. Wyandottes are of medium weight, dual purpose fowl for the production of meat and eggs. The skin is yellow and the eggs shells vary in color from very light to a rich brown, depending on individual, strain, and the stage of production. All my birds either came from Greg Catt, or Ruth Block, the two origional importers of this variety, and have not been out-crossed like most birds in the US. Here at heathers feather farm, we have them in both standard and bantam varietys.

     They make great moms too !

          Silkies

My silkies are from Hattrick, and Standford lines and are bred for large vaulted skulls, proper foot feathering, toe seperation, large cushions, calm disposition, and hardiness. I specialize in buffs.

My Modern Game Bantams came from several breeders here in California, and I am currently working with BBred, Lemon Blue, Blue Fawn, and Birchin. I just love the personalitys these birds have. They are born with almost no fear of man or beast. They will fly right up on your lap and start a conversation !

All my Jersey Giants came from Ruth Bloch, and are very large birds, very good layers of medium brown eggs, and definetly gentle giants of the chicken world !!!

I use a brinsea octogon 20 with humidity management module, and it pretty much hatches anything I put in it.

          Lovable Mixed breeds

I keep a variety of dark egger hens in with my Jersey Giant flocks, and offer mixed breed hatching eggs from time to time, no guarentees on these birds, othern than the fact that they will be good layers of darkish brown eggs.
