Rare color runners

I got hooked on the Indian runner ducks in 1999's when ATVCBD, I attended a show put on by the Rare Breeds Survival Association of Australia, where I fell in love with the unique appearance of these ducks. Runners are one of the oldest breeds of ducks traced back in the 1800's and were originally imported from asia. They come in a dizzying array of colors, from white, fawn and white, fawn, chocolate, blue, black, and many more that only the most dedicated runner breeders are working with. They stand almost "bottle" upright and due to their unique structure, run rather than waddle like most ducks. They are my favorite ducks and I have had them for 7 years now.

          Aylesburys

I found the Aylesbury breed of ducks to be in the 1800's and were originally in the 1800's and were originally in England around  as a Pekin look alike in England, have now become an endangered breed as they have been largely been replaced by pekins, and other commercial ducks. The Aylesbury differs from the pekin in that they have a flesh colored bill as a pinkish to flesh colored bill, pinkish feet, and a horizontall body carriage. They are are very large ducks, and are generally sweet tempered if raised by hand. Eggs in the incubation tray pending...

          Call Ducks

Call ducks are a bantam breed of domestic duck originated in the 1800's and were originally used as "decoy" ducks to call in wild ducks for hunters. They have now become one of the most popular duck breeds to show, as they come in many colors. They are noisy, very cute, and very entertaining! I have them in butterscotch, blue fawn and white.

          Silkie Ducks

Silkie ducks are a bantam duck breed that has a genetic feather mutation causing the feathers to curl up giving them a very fluffy appearance. They come in white, blue, and chocolate. I have them in white and hope to add other colors soon.

          Muscovys

There is not much I can say bad about muscovy ducks, they are the only breed of domestic duck not derived from the mallard, they are originally a wild species from South America now domesticated and come in a variety of colors. They are very quiet, which makes them favorites for people in close neighborhoods, they have a unique "wagging" tail and produce a high quality meat. They are the most efficient and sure fire hatcher of any breed of duck I have had. I have had muscovy for 7 years now and they are still my favorite farmyard ducks. I usually have babies available in the spring and summer, sometimes throughout the year.

          Sebastopol and Pomeranian Geese

There are lots of the geese in the 1800's and were originally in the 1800's and were originally from Pomerania (now in Germany and Poland) brought to England from around the Baltic Sea, Pomeranian Geese come in grey and white, and are a medium to large sized goose. They are docile and make excellent pets. I am hoping to have Sebastopol goslings available this spring.
